The story behind Move to Florence
I moved to Florence in 2015, when my family relocated here for my husband’s work. Like many expats, I arrived without a roadmap — and spent the next five years figuring things out, building relationships, and becoming the kind of person friends and acquaintances quietly turned to when they needed help navigating life in Italy.
Move to Florence was born during the Covid lockdown in 2020. After months at home, I went for a long walk — and came back with a business. What I realised, somewhere along the way, was that I had already been doing this informally for years. I knew the city, I knew the right people, and I knew how much difference that made. Turning it into something formal felt less like a leap and more like the obvious next step.
Since then, Move to Florence has supported dozens of international clients through every stage of relocation — from the first property search to the moment they feel genuinely at home in the city.
